Academic Publishing Skills: Online Mentoring Programme
A free mentoring programme supporting early-career researchers in low- and middle-income countries to publish in peer-reviewed academic health journals through one-to-one mentoring by senior health researchers and journal editors worldwide.
We are currently recruiting mentors and early-career researchers.
If you are a senior health researcher or journal editor in any country willing to volunteer your expertise, or an early-career researcher in a low- or middle-income country ready to publish your first paper, we want to hear from you.
What The Programme Covers
Manuscript Writing
Introduction, methods, results, discussion, and abstract.
Peer Review
Effectively responding to peer reviewer comments.
Journal Selection
Identifying the most appropriate target journal to submit to.
Resubmission
Preparing and submitting an effectively revised manuscript.
Submission Package
Cover letter, author statements, conflict declarations.
Publication Promotion
Updating CV, LinkedIn, ORCID and ResearchGate with publications.
Submission Process
Navigating the online journal submission system.
